Bihar lies in the eastern part of the country. It is a landlocked state with Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. It is said that here at Bodh Gaya, the Lord Buddha got enlightenment. In the ancient old days Bihar was known for world famous universities, the likes of Nalanda University and Vikramshila University, however owing to various reasons including changing political landscape both institutions got vanished.
