Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (BETET) 2018
The government of Bihar conducts the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (BETET) for candidates who want to be a teacher in schools run by the government and private managements. Candidates who are B.Ed qualified and wish to choose teaching as their profession are required to clear the BETET 2018.
Bihar TET 2018 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates are required to fulfill certain eligibility criteria before applying for Bihar TET 2018 -
- The candidates must be a bonafied resident of the state of Bihar. However, someone who is a permanent resident of Bihar but now resides outside Bihar are also eligible to apply for Bihar TET 2018.
- Age limit:
General Category Female: 38 years
General Category Male: 35 years
OBC Category (Male/Female): 38 years
Scheduled Caste (Male/Female): 40 years
- Academic qualification:
From class I to V (Basic grade of Panchayat and Block teacher / city teacher) for teacher:
The
candidates should be Higher Secondary pass (or other equivalent
examination) with a minimum of 50% marks and they should be in the final
year of their B.Ed Training in elementary education.
Or
The
candidates should be Higher Secondary pass (or other equivalent
examination) with a minimum of 45% marks along with a 2 years training
in elementary education, which was received according to the National
Teacher Education Council (Recognition, Standards and Procedure)
Regulations, 2002 Or
The candidates should be Higher Secondary pass
(or other equivalent examination) with a minimum of 50% marks along with
a 4 year training in elementary education (BLA). Those candidates in
their final year of training in elementary education are also eligible
to apply.
Or
The candidates should be Higher Secondary pass (or
other equivalent examination) with a minimum of 50% marks along with the
qualification of biennial training (special education). Those
candidates in their final year of biennial training are also eligible to
apply.
Above all the eligibility criteria, the candidates must
pass the 'Teacher Eligibility Test' (TET) organized by the Central or
Bihar State Government.
From class VI to VIII ( teacher graduate grade teacher ) for teacher:
The
candidates should have completed their graduation in Arts or Science
stream along with a 2 years training in primary education. The
candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
Or
The
candidates should have completed their B.Ed. with 50% marks. The
candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
Or
The
candidates should have pass their Higher Secondary (or its equivalent)
with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 4 year elementary education
graduate (BLA). The candidates in their final year of elementary
education graduate are also eligible to apply.
Or
The candidates
should have pass their Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) exams with a
minimum of 50% marks along with a degree in B.A. / B.Sc. Ed or B.A.E. /
B.Sc.Ad. The candidates in their final year of graduation are also
eligible to apply.
Or
The candidates should have completed their
graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 1
year B. Ed. degree (Special Education).
Above all the eligibility
criteria, the candidates must pass 'Teacher Eligibility Test' (TET)
organized by the Bihar State Government.
N.B. All the diploma/degree
courses in teacher education should be recognized by the Central or any
State Government or recognized by the National Council for Teacher
Education (NCTE). The Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.
Ed. (Special education) courses should be recognized by the Indian
Rehabilitation Council (RCI).
Bihar TET 2018 Application Form and Important Dates
The candidates are required to apply online at the official website of Bihar TET 2018 tentatively from 05/04/2018
Closing of application form – 24/04/2018
Last date of depositing fees - 26/04/2018
Date of amendment in online application form - 27/04/2018
Find below the step by step instruction to fill up the application form -
Step-1: Login to the website https://www.bsebonline.net
Step-2: Uploading Photos and Signature – The Candidates are required to upload their signature and recent color passport size photo to the panel to complete the registration process. The registration will be incomplete without uploading one’s signature and passport size photo.
N.B. Scanned photos and signatures should be less than 1MB in size.
Step-3: Fees payment
After the successful online registration, one has to pay online payment by clicking on the link PAY PARTICIPATION FEE.
The fees can be paid by the candidates in two different ways-
- Online payment by debit / credit card
- Payment through e-invoice at State Bank of India branch
