BPSC: Bihar Combined Competitive Examination

The Provincial Civil Services of Bihar popularly known as BPSC or Bihar PSC is also called Bihar Combined Competitive Examination (BCCE)/Bihar CCE. The examination is administered by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Patna for the appointment of Bihar State Civil Servants.

The BPSC Examination is administered in three stages
  • BPSC Preliminary Examination
  • BPSC Mains Examination
  • BPSC Interview
Finally selected are recommended by the Bihar Public Service Commission to the Government of Bihar for appointment of Administrative Services Officers in the state.

The minimum educational qualification to appear for BPSC is bachelor's degree from any university recognized by Bihar Public Service Commission.

Reservation criteria applies according to latest guidelines of Government of Bihar. Any one who fulfills eligibility criteria and holds a 3 or 4 years bachelor's degree can apply. Candidates in the final year of bachelor's degree programme can also apply to appear for BPSC Examination. Candidates who pass in the qualifying examination BPSC Preliminary are called by BPSC to apply and appear for BPSC Mains Exam. And the candidates who make it to the merit rank are called for BPSC Interview after which final merit rank is prepared.
